Battoulah, Pink Wall

The strongest visual in the Gulf vocabulary, finally used. A gold battoulah holds the centre of the frame with the eyes level and unbothered, crystal chains falling either side, a green and pink garland spilling down the front like something growing. The pink wall closes the horizon so there is nowhere to look but at her. Platform sandals at the hem undercut the whole ceremony.
